The ingredients needed to make Naan (Using a Breadmaker):
  1. Make ready 1 cup water
  2. Take 1 egg
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp butter (I mixed it with a bit of minced garlic)
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup parsley, washed and patted dry, chopped
  5. Get 1/2 tsp salt
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp sugar
  7. Make ready 3 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  8. Make ready 2/3 tbsp instant yeast
  9. Take Oil (for frying)
  10. Take More flour (to shape the dough)
Steps to make Naan (Using a Breadmaker):
  1. Pour ingredients one by one as listed above. Use dough setting and wait. (Using my machine, it takes about 20 minutes) If you don't have a machine, combine flour and yeast and salt and sugar, add water and egg and parsley, knead by hand for about 5 minutes. Then add butter, knead again until the dough is pliable and smooth.
  2. Let the dough rise for about 45 minutes. Then flatten it.
  3. Grab a handful of dough, flatten it with a rolling pin (or your hand). Pour a bit of oil to a pan. Cook the naan in medium heat until it bubbles, flip it, then continue cooking until both sides have brown spots. Serve warm with curry.
