  8. Get 1 small yellow pepper
  9. Take I small red pepper
  10. Take 1 medium carrot
  11. Get 1/2 cup broccoli florets

  13. Make ready 1/2 tsp salt

Beef strips are stir-fried with vegetables, which may be varied to suit individual tastes. Drain and serve on the plates. Remove stock from heat and add soy fillets. Take fillets out of the stock and set aside.

  1. Cut the beef fillet into strips about 1/2inch wide and set aside
  2. In a mortar and pestle, grind the chilli and 1/2 the garlic cloves into a paste.
  3. Make the beef marinade by mixing the salt, lemon juice and lemon zest into the garlic-chilli paste.
  4. Add the marinade into the beef and mix to combine well and leave to rest for 30mins
  5. In a heavy bottom pan over medium-high heat, heat some oil and fry the rest of the garlic and onions until golden brown.
  6. Add the beef fillet and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Reduce heat to low-medium, add the vegetables and mix to combine then cover the pan and let everything simmer for another 5 minutes or until the vegetables cook to your liking.
  7. Turn heat off and serve over some steamed rice or with a side of chapati

Remove stock from heat and add soy fillets. Take fillets out of the stock and set aside. Pour stock through a sieve and save liquid in a pot. Remove spice corns, pepper corns and bay leaves from the vegetables and puree half of the vegetables with a blender.
