  17. Take 1 tsp Red pepper flakes - Optional

Brown meat in oil add onions. Crock Pot beef stew comes together in just a few simple steps and the beef gets so tender. Toss the beef in the flour-garlic powder mixture to coat, and brown in olive oil in batches. Don't crowd the pan. (You can skip this step but the browning adds great flavor to the stew).

  2. Place roast in crock pot and add water & wine. Liquid should cover about 1 1/2 inches of the bottom or so.
  3. Add garlic cloves and vegetables around the roast. They do not have to be under water
  4. Place the sprigs of rosemary on top the roast. Cover and turn on LOW for about 5 hours or until roast falls apart.
  5. TIP: After a few hours spoon liquid over roast and repeat a few times.
  6. Serve by pulling desired amount of roast with tongs and spooning the stew. ENJOY!
