  1. Take 2 cups Gram Flour or Besan
  2. Take 3 Onions thinly sliced large ones
  3. Take 2 bunches Spinach Greens
  4. Make ready 1 tsp Salt
  5. Take 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  6. Make ready 1 tsp Cumin powder
  7. Make ready 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped
  8. Get 1/4 cup Coriander Leaves finely chopped
  9. Make ready 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  10. Make ready 1/8 tsp Asafoetida
  11. Take 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
  12. Prepare Water as required
  13. Get 2 cups Oil for frying
Instructions to make Spinach and Onion Pakoras:
  1. Make a semi thick batter with using all the ingredients mentioned for making these delicious Pakoras. The batter should be semi thick but not watery. As Spinach has a tendency of leaving water and so are the Onions. Therefore use water as required. Give it a standing time of atleast 20 minutes. It's a must for flavours to infuse and also for fluffy Pakoras.
  2. Drop small balls of the batter into hot Oil and deep fry on a medium-high heat only. Keep turning the sides at regular intervals so that they cook well inside out. The Oil should be hot and fry in batches of 2 or 3 until golden and crisp. Serve with a hot cup of tea or coffee at tea-time or even for choti moti bhook. Enjoy!
